HILTON HOUSE is a B&B, which also offers self catering facilities, on the farm Hilton. It is situated 20km north of Grahamstown on the R350 to Bedford. It is a 15min drive on 11km of tar & 9km of good gravel. Most guests comment on the peace & quiet of the farm.

HILTON HOUSE B&B consists of 2 units each having a double room, a twin room, a bathroom (with shower, bath & toilet) and its own dining room, lounge with a fireplace for those cold winter nights & a well equipped kitchen with a stove, microwave, fridge & kettle. Tea, coffee & rusks are also provided for guests.

HILTON HOUSE B&B is set in the park-like gardens of the main house. It has its own private patio & braai area looking out over the the “ oxbow lake “ and surrounding hills. Here one can enjoy the beautiful sunsets & many wild sounds while having high tea or sundowners, before lighting the fire or weber.

There is a clay tennis court for anyone feeling energetic enough for a game, and a swimming pool for the use of guests. The farm also offers walks, mountain bike trails & good bird-watching. A game drive may be organized by arrangement. For the very energetic a walk to the bushman paintings is an option.

HILTON HOUSE B&B option includes a self-serve continental breakfast consisting of a variation of fruit, cereals, yoghurt, toast & fruit juice. The house is serviced daily. A self catering option is also possible.

The main house is home to Janet & John White and their family who are your hosts. It is a National Monument built in 1834 in the typical symmetry of the Georgian style with large sash windows & shutters, yellowwood, sprung floors for ballroom dancing & a cellar, originally built for slaves. This has been converted into a unique pub & venue, which just oozes history.

THE SHEARING SHED VENUE is part of the Hilton farm set up. This is an old stone shed which has been converted into a rustic venue for weddings, 21STS or any other occasions. It can seat up to 120 people comfortably. It has a kitchen area for catering & an ablution block. The old stables, wooden bridge, stone bench & majestic home are lovely props for bridal photographs. There is plenty of parking, it is well lit & you can party as late as you like!

ST PETERS CHURCH, only 500m away was built in 1877 with stone and still has the original pews in it. This has been used for many occasions like weddings, baptisms, funerals & special services for Christmas, thanksgiving for rain etc.

HILTON HOUSE B&B is a great week-end getaway for locals or parents wanting to take scholars or students out for quality time. A farmstay is also something different for anyone coming to Orientation, Graduation, Balloon week or one of the many festivals offered locally.
