The facilities: Two rooms to sleep 5 max. (one room with both a custom-built double bed and a single bed, plus a large en-suite bath; one smaller double-bed room, with a wonderfully decorated separate bath). All the usual amenities and very good-quality linens and towels. Warm, shiny wooden floors and interesting things throughout. Wonderful breakfasts, and a welcoming dining room to enjoy any time of day. TV in common lounge/reading room.

The setting: Victorian home adjacent to a small stone church, on a quiet street in a historic part of town (Artificer's Square). Largish, green garden with a few secluded benches and a small swimming pool. Off-street parking.

Easy to find - just one or two turns off the main streets.
